I was honored to present my Fhloston Paradigm project at the now legendary Gatherings, presented by Chuck Van Zyl at St Mary's Church on University of Pennsylvania's campus. I was joined by the great, Pia Ercole, who's voice always take the project to the next level.

As a youth, King Britt would listen to the music from the outer reaches of the universe thru the legendary show Star’s End on WXPN in Philadelphia. At the helm was, sonic cosmonaut, Chuck Van Zyl. Tonight, their lives come full circle.
This special release event, celebrates the release of King’s, Fhloston Paradigm - Live On Stars End album that drops in January. A solo excursions using elements from the 2017 AFTER... album.
We are also honored to have the Star’s End man himself Chuck Van Zyl in a rare live show!
Joined by longtime comrade Chaka Benson on full modular set up and John Morrison, spinning an experimental set for the ages!

AFTER... - Fhloston Paradigm
King Britt’s future forward project Fhloston Paradigm has been his focus since 2012. The inaugural full album of this project, The Phoenix, debuted on the dynamic label Hyperdub in 2014. Organically over the past five years, this project has seen various incarnations in prestigious places including the MoMA PS1 (NYC), MoCAD (Detroit), XOYO (London), and Womb (Japan). Fhloston Paradigm has also received humbling and beautiful reviews by respected press including The Wire, Pitchfork, and FactTV.
King Britt’s new album After... is the continuation of the story… ascension and polyrhythmic primal energy through unexpected process.

Studio Sessions at WORM Rotterdam

First week of March 2016, I spent the week in my new favorite city, Rotterdam! It was an honor to be an artist in residence, at the legendary studio @ WORM. They had many ultra rare synths, that I was extremely excited to use. The Arp2500, The Putney VC3, PPG and so much more.
I was creating source material for the new Fhloston Paradigm album for next year. I was trying to learn all the machines and used all the mistakes as material. It was an extremely fun process.
I also was lucky enough to catch up with longtime friend and producer, Benny Rodridges. Was great to see him after 15yrs. We even started a song....
As a bonus, I got to meet designer, Lola Gielen, who invented the Neo at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. I got in contact after seeing the instrument online and wanted to see it in person. She drove all the way to show me. Blessed.
Lastly, the roti in Rotterdam, oh my word! Surinamese beauty.

Revisting the groundbreaking event Moondance : A Night in the Afrofuture, that happened at MoMA PS1 in April 2014. We can't forget the narratives being built.
